Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physician-led cardiac procedures. Assess complex patients transitioning from intensive care, documenting history and physical assessments, and initiating individualized education plans focused on cardiac health. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage life-saving situations and ensure patient safety under pressure. Requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, PCCN certification, and a valid Wisconsin RN license. This 13-week travel assignment supports Fusion Medical Staffing's mission to improve lives through specialized cardiac care.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
