Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physician-led cardiac procedures. Assess and manage complex patient needs, document nursing history and physical assessments, and initiate individualized patient education plans focusing on cardiac health. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care for patients transitioning from intensive care. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs for telemetry patients.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
