Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for cardiac procedures, and observe patients to record conditions and notify physicians of status changes. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols, while documenting nursing history and initiating patient education plans focused on cardiac health. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients transitioning from intensive care. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs, adhere to infection control guidelines, and work under close supervision or independently as required. One year of recent Stepdown RN experience and PCCN certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Travel Stepdown RN
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
