Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physician-led cardiac procedures. Assess and manage complex patient needs transitioning from intensive care, documenting histories and initiating education plans focused on cardiac health. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs while adhering to infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, PCCN certification, and a valid New Hampshire RN license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
