Job Summary
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities, administering prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during cardiac-related procedures while maintaining awareness of patient comfort and safety. Document nursing assessments, observe patient reactions, and respond to life-saving situations based on established protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to initiate patient education plans regarding cardiac health and lifestyle modifications, adhering to infection control and regulatory standards. This 13-week travel assignment in Overland Park, Kansas, requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience and PCCN certification.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
