Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for cardiac procedures, and maintain patient comfort and safety. Observe patients, record conditions, and notify the physician of cardiac status or life-saving interventions. Document nursing assessments, initiate patient education plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Respond to emergencies based on hospital protocols while adhering to infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, PCCN certification, and a valid Nevada RN license. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
