Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for cardiac procedures, and observe patients to record significant conditions and reactions. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols, while documenting assessments and initiating patient education plans focused on cardiac health. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients transitioning from intensive care. Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs while adhering to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Travel
- 13-week travel assignment
- Wilmington, North Carolina
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must be able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
