Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately to life-saving situations. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for physician procedures, and document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned patients. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage complex patient needs while initiating education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs, adhering to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, PCCN certification, and a valid RN license for a 13-week travel assignment in Clyde, North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
