Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately to life-saving situations. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for physician procedures, and maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs. Assess and manage complex patient needs for individuals transitioning from intensive care, documenting history, recording reactions, and initiating individualized education plans focused on cardiac health. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care while adhering to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, PCCN certification, and current valid RN license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
