Nursing Professional Development Specialist

Job Summary
Develops group and individualized educational initiatives to promote exemplary professional practice and quality patient care. Designs and coordinates onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competency programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel; collaborates with partners to plan and decision-make interprofessional education experiences; promotes EBP, QI, and research dissemination; utilizes adult learning theory and generational learning principles to optimize educational events and outcomes across micro-, meso-, and macrosystem levels; supports role transition and mastery as learners progress from novice to expert; contributes to professional development within the NPD specialty and healthcare education, and leads interprofessional education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of Kansas
- Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) - AHA
- 3 or more years of hospital or ambulatory clinical experience
