Job Summary

Conduct caregiver orientation, ongoing learning support, and coaching sessions using standardized tools and adult learning principles. Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to preceptors and staff to promote self-reliance and teamwork while assessing and evaluating educational needs. Collaborate across the organization to advance evidence-based practices, foster interprofessional learning, and ensure seamless transitions for new and existing caregivers. Champion inquiry and professional development to enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes within the Medical Oncology service line.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development
  • Demonstrated nursing experience
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc
  • Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or a related specialty
  • Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
  • Local, Regional, or National Presentations or Publications
