Job Summary

Assess, guide, and evaluate caregiver orientation and ongoing learning needs in alignment with assigned program or service line. Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, applying educational design principles to address gaps from needs assessments. Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to understand goals and priorities, ensuring the adoption of evidence-based practices within specialties. Provide coaching to assist caregivers and clinical coaches in managing personal learning, growth, and job enrichment opportunities. Foster the creation and sharing of new knowledge to advance NPD practice and enhance patient care. Champion the importance of the NPD specialty within the organization to ensure integration of NPD principles.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development
  • Demonstrated nursing experience
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc
  • Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or a related specialty
  • Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
  • Local, Regional, or National Presentations or Publications
