Job Summary
Facilitate caregiver orientation, ongoing learning, and professional development by serving as a resource, consultant, and mentor to preceptors and staff. Assess learning needs, apply adult learning principles, and guide the adoption of evidence-based practices across assigned service lines. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers while championing inquiry to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes. Requires a BSN, active RN license, and BLS certification. Based at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, with a 40-hour schedule and an hourly range of $45.31 to $67.01.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers
- Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development
- Demonstrated nursing experience
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to sit, see and read signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles (for roles requiring driving)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or a related specialty
- Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
- Local, Regional, or National Presentations or Publications
