Job Summary
Nursing Professional Development Practitioner responsible for designing curricula, developing education programs for nurses, guiding learners, and evaluating outcomes. Role includes planning and maintaining educational materials, assisting learners in identifying learning needs, coordinating orientation of new staff including agency personnel, evaluating program effectiveness, sharing updates with leadership, and providing educational opportunities across career stages. Applies adult learning principles, supports bedside nurses through programs like Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) and residency participation, and collaborates to advance patient care and organizational growth. Requires RN license, BSN (required), and relevant nursing education experience; familiarity with database management and nursing research; strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities; ability to mentor and coach teams and-to foster collaboration. Education: BSN required; MSN preferred. Work experience: minimum 1+ year in acute care/academic education; 5+ years nursing education and 5+ years nursing experience preferred. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP/PALS preferred; NPD-BC preferred.
