Nursing Practice Specialist

Job Summary

Translate current research into nursing policies and standards while leading evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes. Analyze quality and safety metrics to identify improvement opportunities and inform clinical decision-making. Mentor nurses in developing clinical expertise and facilitate the dissemination of best practices through education and consultation. Lead quality improvement projects from planning through evaluation, collaborating across departments to align local initiatives with system-wide goals. Conduct routine clinical rounds to evaluate practice, identify barriers, and provide real-time coaching to frontline staff. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards by participating in mock surveys and post-survey action planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Masters's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Three to five years of progressive clinical nursing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and clinical leadership
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams
