Job Summary
Evaluate the environment to ensure quality service, optimal patient flow, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Plan, lead, and evaluate patient care delivery while managing unit budgets and operational expenses. Recruit, develop, and retain top talent through supervision, mentorship, and performance evaluation. Implement evidence-based clinical practices and new technologies to support day-to-day operations. Serve as a liaison between team members and nursing administration, fostering diversity and continuous improvement. Achieve financial and operational benchmarks while maintaining Orlando Health's mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Two (2) years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting
- One (1) year leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- National leadership board certification through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) within 2 years
