Job Summary
Nursing Manager role leading emergency veterinary support staff (RVTs and assistants) in Whitby, Ontario. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day flow, scheduling, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, addressing patient care issues, partnering with hospital leadership to align on goals, guiding team development with Medical Director feedback, and fostering a culture of learning and VEG values. Requires 5+ years as a clinical veterinary technician, 2+ years in leadership, and active registration as a Veterinary Technician in Ontario. Must be able to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; CVPM and VTS credentials are a plus. Offers a compensation range of $80k-$100k CAD with benefits and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Ontario
- 5+ years of experience in clinical veterinary technician role
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Flexibility to work 5 days per week and to be available at all shifts/times, to include nights, weekends and holidays
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification is a plus
- Any Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) is a plus
