Job Summary

Manage day-to-day flow for the nursing team, overseeing scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding. Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy while partnering with hospital leadership and shift leads to align on goals. Use doctor feedback to guide team development, champion a culture of learning through in-house training and mentorship, and ensure licensure and performance standards are upheld. Drive meaningful one-on-ones and student check-ins to fuel long-term career growth. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis within a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
  • 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs

Desired Qualifications

  • A.S. or B.S. from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
  • emergency-specific experience
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment with people from all backgrounds and different personality types
