Job Summary
Manage day-to-day flow for the nursing team, overseeing scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding. Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy while partnering with hospital leadership and shift leads to align on goals and flow. Use doctor feedback to guide team development, ensuring licensure, performance standards, and education programs are upheld. Champion a culture of learning through in-house training, mentorship, and meaningful 1:1s to fuel long-term career growth. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs
Desired Qualifications
- A.S. or B.S. from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
- emergency-specific experience
