Job Summary
Lead the veterinary emergency nursing team by creating a culture that empowers and connects teammates; manage day-to-day nursing flow, scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding/offboarding, and ensure licensure and education programs are upheld. Collaborate with hospital leadership to align on goals and hospital flow, use doctor feedback to guide team development, and drive a culture of learning through in-house training and mentorship. Champion patient care excellence and support long-term career growth for staff in a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency veterinary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice
- A.S. or B.S. from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is strongly preferred
- 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role, emergency-specific experience preferred
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong/odors
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis
