Job Summary
Develop day-to-day management and long-term planning for the patient care area by directing staff, collaborating with physicians, and establishing personal rapport with patients to identify service requirements. Write and update nursing guidelines, policies, and procedures while adopting innovative practices to improve facility operations. Recruit, select, and guide nursing staff through interviews, then manage operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing personnel policies. Coach, counsel, and discipline employees to support job results, while providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Answer patient and team inquiries to maintain a compassionate environment. Requires 5+ years' nursing experience, current RN license, and ability to lift 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' nursing experience
- Current RN License in the state
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a large team
- Able to work efficiently under time constraints
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Able to interview nurses for open positions
