Job Summary
Nursing Intern position (PRN) for students enrolled in an accredited RN program. Performs clinical procedures and provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse. May perform unit-validated technical tasks but is restricted from performing any licensed tasks. Requires Basic Life Support certification and enrollment in nursing coursework (Fundamentals of Nursing or Med Surg). Located at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO; healthcare team support and patient care responsibilities across units.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing intern or nursing student in RN program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Less than 1 year applicable experience
- PRN swing schedule suitability
- Clinical procedures and patient care under supervision
- Ability to perform unit-validated technical tasks
- Desire to work in a faith-based, nonprofit health system in Kansas City
