Job Summary
The Nursing Instructor prepares and delivers high-quality instruction, engages in program improvement processes, and participates in various student affairs initiatives. Responsibilities include preparing lessons and course materials, maintaining communication with students, providing academic advising and support, assessing student learning outcomes, and collaborating with faculty for program development. Candidates must possess a graduate degree in nursing or a BSN, be Arizona RN licensed, have BLS certification, and two years of nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or a minimum of a BSN if the graduate degree is not in Nursing
- Arizona RN
- BLS for healthcare providers
- At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Proof of immunizations or titers, or (1) PPD, (2) Hep B
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Ability to perform basic calculations relevant to course material and student assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and any software required for course delivery
