Job Summary
Review facility invoices for accuracy before sending to contacts and confirm Part A Set Ups. Process insurance changes and review PPS lists for hospital stays, discharges, expirations, and coverage updates. Verify all billing documentation and maintain thorough understanding of different insurance contracts and payers while handling confidential medical information in compliance with HIPAA laws. Provide backup to Cash Posting on payment application and establish working relationships with nursing home contacts and collections departments. This role supports the Eagan, MN office of Northwest Respiratory Services, a regional leader serving patients in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of different insurance contracts and payers
- Able to adjust to change in process or routine
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual and dependable
- Understanding of HIPAA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
- Excellent telephone and typing skills
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Previous data entry and medical knowledge
- Bilingual
