Job Summary

Plan, develop, and direct facility programs in accordance with North Carolina state guidelines while managing annual operational and capital budgets. Ensure resident care aligns with comprehensive assessment plans and oversee admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Lead facility-wide assessments, manage risk management programs, and maintain infection prevention protocols. Provide oversight for human resources, employee health and safety programs, and OSHA compliance. Submit survey findings and monitor quality measures data for state agencies. Work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, with 24-hour on-call rotation. Requires a bachelor's degree and current unencumbered nursing home administrator license.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or nursing facility.
  • Must possess a current unencumbered nursing home administrator's license or meet the licensure requirements of the State of North Carolina.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Licensed in North Carolina as a Nursing Home Administrator.
  • Minimum of three years' prior experience as the administrator of, or holding a senior managerial position in, a skilled nursing care facility.
  • Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • On call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Desired Qualifications

  • A master's degree in public health administration or business administration or a health related degree is preferred.
