Job Summary
Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) at MediLodge of Lansing manages day-to-day facility operations to ensure efficient, compliant operation and high-quality resident care. Responsible for planning and achieving goals for quality care, employee retention, and financial performance; directs hiring, training, and orientation; oversees budgets; guides clinical, administrative, and service departments; implements control systems; represents the facility at community meetings and promotes programs; monitors performance and corrective actions; oversees census development/marketing; serves as Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator; chairs the Performance Improvement Committee; performs other assigned tasks. Knowledge of Long Term Care, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, cost reporting, and budget compliance; ability to lead a large staff, communicate effectively with residents and families, and respond decisively in emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- BS in health care administration, business administration, finance, a clinical specialty or equivalent long term care experience
- Licensed by the state or eligible for reciprocity
- Two years’ experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in a long-term care facility or completion of an AIT program
