Job Summary

Transcribe medication orders, administer controlled substances, and document all nursing activities with the initials NG. Perform patient assessments after the initial or first shift assessment conducted by a registered nurse. Execute routine procedures such as placing nasal gastric tubes, performing urinary catheterizations, applying sterile dressings, checking blood sugar, and obtaining specimens. Practice exclusively under the direct, physical supervision of a registered nurse present on the unit. This cohort is part of Luminis Health's emergency department nursing program. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
  • Eligible to sit for NCLEX
  • Pass NCLEX exam within 120 days of application to the board of nursing
  • No later than 120 days after the date the nursing graduate submitted an application to the Board
  • No failure of the second NCLEX examination
