Job Summary
Nursing Graduate to practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse on the unit, cosigning medication transcription, administration, and nursing documentation. Graduate will use NG after their name, perform routine procedures taught in the nursing program (e.g., placing nasal gastric tubes, urinary catheterizations, sterile dressings, blood sugar checks, obtaining specimens), and document in medical records. Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program and eligible to sit for NCLEX; practice ceases if NCLEX not passed within specified timelines or without RN supervision.
