Job Summary
Instructors are responsible for teaching courses in various modalities while promoting and supporting Rasmussen University's mission. Full-Time Instructors generally teach 4.5-5.5 work units each quarter, while Adjunct Instructors typically teach 1-2 work units per quarter. A Master's degree in nursing (MSN) is essential for Full-Time roles, while a Bachelor's degree may suffice for Adjunct roles. Candidates must have an active RN license, CPR certification, and at least one year of clinical RN experience. Strong communication and teaching skills are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) is required for all Full-Time roles
- A Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) may be acceptable in certain locations for Part-Time/Adjunct roles
- Active RN license that has never been encumbered
- Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
- 1-year clinical experience as an RN required, 2+ years preferred
- Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution and applicable faculty immunization documentation required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching/training experience preferred
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities
