Job Summary
Instructors are responsible for teaching nursing courses in a variety of modalities while supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University. Full-Time Instructors typically teach 4.5-5.5 work units each quarter, while Adjunct Instructors teach 1-2 work units per quarter. A Master's degree in nursing is required for Full-Time roles, with a Bachelor's degree in nursing acceptable for Part-Time roles. Candidates must hold an active RN license, CPR certification, and have at least 1 year of clinical experience as an RN, as well as preferred teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in nursing (MSN) is required for Full-Time roles
- A Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) may be acceptable for Part-Time/Adjunct roles
- Active RN license that has never been encumbered
- Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
- 1-year clinical experience as an RN required, 2+ years preferred
- Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution and applicable faculty immunization documentation required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching/training experience preferred
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership abilities
