Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities for Department of Nursing staff through orientation, continuing education, and competency programs. Serve as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, and leader championing scientific inquiry, Nursing Professional Development, and practice transitions. Requires AORN certification, surgical services or procedural experience, and demonstrated teaching skills. Full-time role with variable hours based on department needs; nights and weekend requirements may apply. TN sponsorship eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- nursing healthcare/education related degree
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience
- commit to degree completion within six months from application date
- Surgical Services experience
- Procedural experience
- Current RN license by applicable State requirements
- Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area
Desired Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing
- AORN certification
- Progressive or high acuity care experience
- Education focus in Master's in Nursing program
- Experience in educational programming
- Demonstrated teaching skills
- Certification in nursing professional development
- Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
