Job Summary
Full-time Nursing Department Faculty (tenure- or clinical-track) teaching medical/surgical nursing to undergraduates in a predominantly face-to-face BSN program. Responsibilities include classroom and clinical instruction, skills/simulation lab teaching, online teaching as needed, student performance evaluation, and participation in department/university activities. Requires staying current with nursing/medicine standards, mentoring students, fostering inclusive excellence, and collaborating with a team. Master's degree in nursing required; Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required; minimum three years of clinical medical/surgical nursing experience; preferred doctoral progress; compensation varies by rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and load credits.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility
- Minimum of three years clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Ability to mentor nursing students and facilitate clinical judgment development
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to Bethel’s core values and to integrating nursing with Christian faith
- Experience as nurse educator or preceptor is asset
