Job Summary
Guide nursing students through clinical rotations and academic coursework by assuming complete responsibility for their safety, clarifying expectations with facility staff, and utilizing pre- and post-conferences to correlate theory with practice. Direct students to available resources, assess their knowledge and skill levels to ensure optimal patient care, and provide immediate feedback on clinical performance. Contribute to course curriculum improvement, maintain scholarly activities, and leverage simulation labs while adhering to state Board of Nursing regulations. Requires a Master's degree in nursing, professional licensure, and two years of direct patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Professional nurse licensure
- Clinical RN - Must have a minimum of two (2) year's prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Have a minimum of one year experience in the field in which they teach
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as needed
- Working with online learning management systems
- Compliance with state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance, and other regulatory standards such as state Board of Nursing
