Job Summary
The Clinical Nursing Instructor is responsible for instructing students in specific nursing procedures and critical thinking skills, collaborating with didactic instructors and course leaders to ensure consistency in clinical laboratory procedures. Duties include planning laboratory experiences, assisting in the evaluation of student performance, developing clinical scenarios and strategies, maintaining proficiency in clinical procedures, and ensuring safety within the clinical setting. The role requires a commitment to further education and a supportive demeanor towards students.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a BSN
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kentucky
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Completion of clinical requirements
- Background check
- Drug screening
- Personal medical insurance
- 2 years of full-time employment in the area of intent to conduct clinical within the past 5 years
