Job Summary
The Nursing Care Assistant (NCA) performs assigned tasks to aid in the provision of patient care and daily operation of the Nursing Unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include providing basic hygiene, comfort, and safety measures, assisting with nutrition and elimination needs, documenting tasks, and maintaining the nursing unit's cleanliness. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of direct patient care experience or relevant health program enrollment. Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One (1) year recent experience in a clinical setting providing Direct Patient Care or completion of or current enrollment in a health-related program that has provided the ability to perform Nursing Care Assistant skills

- Pennsylvania Department of Health Nursing Assistant Certification
