Job Summary
Nursing Attendant at NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center working part time nights in a float pool. Responsibilities include monitoring blood pressure and temperature, measuring and recording vitals, assisting with meals and safe patient transport, delivering compassionate care, and supporting a fast-paced hospital environment under the supervision of a registered nurse. Requires BSN enrollment with clinical rotation or prior CNA/nursing aide experience or equivalent certification; high school diploma or GED; and current BLS certification. Collaborative, patient-focused role in a major medical center.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, or certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association required.
