Job Summary
Nursing Attendant for Part-time Days in the Float Pool at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Responsibilities include monitoring blood pressure and temperature, delivering meals, ensuring safe patient transport, infusing energy and hospitality at the bedside, and collaborating with Nurses, ICU Technicians and others to maintain a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment. Requires current BLS certification, enrollment in a BSN program with at least one clinical rotation (or CNA/nursing attendant experience), and availability for weekend rotations (2 days per week). Location is NYP Columbia; role involves on-site, part-time work with day shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and has completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, or certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program
- High school diploma or GED
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
