Job Summary
Nursing Attendant role in NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center Float Pool with evening shift (3pm–11:15pm) and rotating weekends. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulses, respiration), ensuring delivery of meals, safe patient transport, and providing compassionate support at the bedside under supervision of a registered nurse. Requires on-site presence and living within commutable distance to NYP. The role emphasizes teamwork with Nurses, ICU Technicians, and other care providers, and offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities. Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a BSN program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, or certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Current BLS from American Heart Association required
