Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment. Functions as a team member with the nurse to organize patient care, communicates changes in patient status, documents care, and assists with ADLs including meals, bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility, and transportation within the unit. Supports the plan of care for assigned patients, performs selected procedures under supervision, records vital signs and fluid intake/output, and participates in continuing education and QA efforts. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Heart Saver Certification preferred.
