Job Summary
Certified Nurse’s Aide/Nursing Attendant needed for 4 West Med Surg/Ortho at NYP Queens. Full-time evening shift 3pm-11pm with weekend rotations. Provide compassionate patient-focused care under supervision of a registered nurse, perform select duties, assist with meals and transportation, and monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure). Requires HS Diploma/GED, BLS certification, and prior nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting, or enrollment in a BSN program with clinical practicum. Orientation is mandatory (2 weeks, 8AM-4PM). Salary $24.94-$26.83/hour plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- BLS from AHA
- Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
