Job Summary
Provide bedside care as a certified nurse’s aide under RN supervision in the 3 South Med Surg/Stroke/Tele unit. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulses, respiration), assisting with meals and safe transport, delivering compassionate patient care, maintaining a safe, clean environment, and supporting the team of nurses and ICU technicians. This Part Time Day shift (29 hrs/wk, 7AM-3PM) at NYP/Queens requires every weekend for the first 2 years and includes mandatory orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting
- Certification from an approved Nurse Aide training program
- Currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
- BLS from AHA
- HS Diploma/GED
