Job Summary
The Health Care Aide (HCA) at Carewest provides ongoing client care, observing and reporting on clients' status/condition changes. The HCA must deliver prescribed medications according to policy, maintain professional standards, and manage the lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma and graduation from a recognized Health Care Aide program, along with current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory. The position offers a pay rate ranging from $20.77 to $26.02 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required
- Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients
- Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory required
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience in a health care facility is an asset.
- Program specific training/experience is an asset.
Additional Requirements
