Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant in Training, you will assist CNAs with daily tasks in a long-term care environment, providing essential services such as grooming, feeding, and mobility support to residents. The role requires a heart for service, teamwork, and compassion. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and complete a nursing assistant training program within their first 120 days of employment. Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred, and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Within 120 days of employment, completes a state-approved nursing assistant training program & become certified.
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and patience.
Additional Requirements
- All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.
