Job Summary
Nursing Assistant at Windemere Assistant Living – days. The Community Living Associate (CLA) provides supportive resident care under supervision of RN/Lead CLA, following each resident's care plan. Responsibilities include personal care up to 2-person assist, 1:1 interaction in DHC/CL, assistance with activities, meal preparation and feeding, toileting/incontinence management, housekeeping, grocery shopping, laundry, coordination of care with the DHC, documentation, and reporting any deviations or emergencies. Requires maintaining professional relationships, readiness for in-service training, ability to transfer/lift patients, valid driver’s license for community travel, and comfort working with the elderly in a long-term care/home care setting. The role emphasizes compassionate patient-centered care, infection control, safety training, and adherence to CMS competencies within PACE SEMI.”,
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or GED required
- Valid Michigan Driver's license
- Current CPR card required
- One (1) year experience with a frail or elderly population
- Certification from a basic nursing assistant training program outside PACE SEMI
- Ability to work with diverse populations and in a caregiving setting
- Must be able to transfer and assist with moving patients; able to lift forty (40) pounds or more
