Job Summary
Nursing Assistant role supporting residents in a geriatric community, performing ADLs such as bathing, toileting, transfers, mobility assistance, meal services, environmental orientation, and other duties per resident service plans. Emphasis on preserving dignity, privacy, independence, and a home-like environment; build relationships with residents; follow infection control procedures; maintain clean and safe living spaces; report status changes to nursing staff; participate in social-recreational activities; requires CPR/First Aid certification and state-specific credentials where applicable; shifts include part-time and full-time with weekends/holidays availability. Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of current state-specific certification where required
- willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to stand for long periods and ambulate, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 35 pounds regularly
- experience in a similar position (18-24 months preferred)
- attendance at mandatory in-service training ( CPR/First Aid Certification)
