Job Summary
Provide personal care to clients under licensed nurse supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and transferring with appropriate equipment. Deliver age-appropriate assistance for activities of daily living, meals, and psychosocial support while documenting care and communicating condition changes. Complete formal nursing assistant training in a hybrid format, passing state exams to obtain CNA certification within four months. Follow infection prevention, safety, and privacy standards while prioritizing client needs across physical, cognitive, and emotional domains.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Valid driver's license (for Sanford Category II Driver classification)
- Medical qualification to perform essential driving functions per Sanford Driving Policy
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
