Job Summary
Engage in full-time training programs Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm for four weeks, attending class, lab instruction, and clinical experiences to master fundamental nursing skills under supervision. Learn and apply healthcare protocols while assisting staff in providing daily care to residents, including activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and changing. Collaborate with the care team to ensure resident well-being and prepare for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. After course completion, commit to working full-time days, evenings, or overnight shifts, covering two weekends monthly, for one year.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to commit to a full time course, (Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm) for 4 weeks.
- Must have excellent attendance, reliable transportation, be consistently dependable.
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, work all day.
- Need to have a good understanding of what an CNA does (full care / bathing / changing / bodily fluids etc...)
- Must commit to working in our Center for 1 year Full-time after getting CNA license.
- Must cover 2 weekends per month.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Passion for healthcare and a desire to learn and grow in a Long-Term Care setting
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
