Job Summary

Perform routine patient care, support, and services in accordance with legal scope of practice and established standards. Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers. Exercise sound judgment and clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on diagnosis. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options. Build collaborative relationships with peers and providers to achieve departmental objectives. Work independently while prioritizing assignments within standardized procedures. Schedule is per diem/casual with 12 days of the week, variable hours, and weekend requirements as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic patient care skills, clinic procedures, and equipment
  • Knowledge of appropriate emergency care for role (i.e. chest compressions, dialing 911)
  • Ability to follow instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
  • Ability to adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
