Job Summary
Nursing Support Assistant performs a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the nursing department and the administrative team, including scheduling appointments, updating charts, assisting with patient care, taking and documenting vitals, coordinating diagnostic testing, handling medical records requests, and maintaining organized nursing stations. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; ability to work weekends/holidays/overtime; preferred Spanish speaking; includes duties such as assisting with medication passes after training, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting nursing staff and administration in Rockford, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Experience with Windows-based computer systems preferred
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Reliable, responsible, and caring nature
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance if driving on the behalf of the company or providing transportation to individuals receiving services
- Other training as required by state such as CPR, First Aid, Behavioral Intervention Techniques, and QMRP/QIDP designation; licensure as required by state
