Job Summary
Assist patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation while monitoring and reporting changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition. Maintain a safe, structured environment using de-escalation techniques to calm distressed patients and accurately document interventions and vital signs. Encourage participation in group activities or therapy sessions and help with cleaning and maintaining patient rooms. Ensure equipment and supplies are stocked. Work 12-hour days from 7a to 7p at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office
